The Arches® line of Orthotics by FootScientific provides balance of correction, comfort, and performance for both the athlete and the lay user. The materials surpass comfort of most custom footbeds while retaining corrective features. The primary material, a cork amalgam, holds its comfortable shape over time with extra cushion for the heel and ball of the foot.
The patented structure of the Arches® Orthotics Type 3 allows the over-flexed big toe to drop into a comfortable position while tilting the heel out of its abnormal position, neutralizing the heel. The structural shift creates immediate relief while standing, and causes a better interplay of the foot’s structure while walking and running to create more stability and efficiency.
The Type 3 Orthotic neutralizes the foot, taking pressure off of key tendons and increasing power in the step. It will reduce many common injuries found in those with high arches: metatarsalgia pain, pain on the outside of the ankle, pain on the lateral part of the foot, pain in the heel, such as plantar fasciitis, and problems with the heel and achilles. Outward ankle rolling and sprains common to the high arched foot is reduced.

Type 1: “Pronating,” “Overpronating,” “Flat Foot” “Fallen Arches”.Corrective for proper arch support, relief of undue ankle and knee pressure, off-loading stressed tendons and muscles, creates a more efficient gate and better performance.A wet footprint reveals most of the foot. With your foot flat on the ground you cannot put the tip of your index finger under your arch.Most people know if they are pronating. If you are not sure, you will also find relief, comfort, and performance in the Type 2.Type 2: "Neutral Arch” Type 2 is for additional arch support, weight distribution off pressure points, and foot stabilization for a more responsive and comfortable foot. Wet footprint reveals moderate space where the arch rises. With foot flat on the floor, the tip of your finger will disappear to the first joint.Type 3. “Supination,” “High Arch,” "High Rigid Arch,” “Cavovarus Foot" “Inner Knee arthritis”.Corrective for a more flexible foot, better pivot, minimizes outer-foot stress fractures and ankle rolling helps open space at the inner knee to lesson the pain of arthritis.A wet footprint reveals the front of the foot and the heel with very little between.
